Anybody that has been in contact with a group of sibling can agree that siblings fight with each other. Life offers plenty opportunities: what television channel to watch, who gets to ride in the front seat of the car, how dare she wears my new sweater, that toy is MINE…! Yes, all siblings have their moments of conflict. But for some these disagreements can evolve into intense sibling rivalry. And many parents have a hard time helping their children move beyond it. Sibling rivalry does not happen in a vacuum, it happens in the context of the family. Our topic today is “Sibling rivalry, a problem that is broader than the two kids involved.
