Applying Bowen Theory to Become a Better Parent and Helper

This presentation alerts helping professionals and parents as to the part that they may play in inadvertently accentuating the problem of the child by “helping”. The goal is to see the system in order to find a path forward. This presentation outlines strategies prescribed by Bowen family systems theory, and offers practical suggestions for case management.  Steps towards reducing anxiety and differentiating a self are discussed.
