Break through Anxiety and Stress in the Workplace –
from the perspective of Bowen Family Systems Theory
With rapid changes of the business environment and the pandemic situation, the anxiety level of an organization is intensified. This course introduces a different approach to understanding the stresses and anxiety in the organization and their manifestations. It will help individuals to develop thoughtful thinking, to get comprehensive feedback and take up ownership in managing the relationship challenges at work.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Under the framework of Bowen theory, this course will help to:
- Relieve the impact of the stress, pressure and anxiety
- Increase awareness of triangles and the related emotional processes
- Assess relationships and define priorities at work
- Help to see one’s part in the system
- Enhance maturity and sense of responsibility in one’s self
- Manage conflicts without scapegoating or distancing
- Strengthen connection in both personal and business environment.
- Enhance emotional health

Having worked in the business sector for many years in her earlier career with a Master of Business Administration, Ms Jean Tai has turned to the field of counselling after graduating from the Hong Kong Polytechnics University and obtained her Master Degree in Guidance and Counselling. She continued her further studies in counselling through the approach of Bowen Family Systems Theory at ISS Family Institute.
Ms Tai is enthusiastic about bringing with her more than 20 years of experience from the business world and her learning of Bowen theory into her private practice. Her focus is to help clients manage their daily life, family relationships, personal issues, and workplace relationships towards better differentiation of self (emotional maturity), to regulate their emotions, and express their I position better in their environment.
