Dr. Daniel V. Papero, (PhD, LCSW-C, LICSW) is a faculty member at the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family in Washington D.C., USA. Over the years at the Bowen Center he has occupied several administrative and clinical positions — member of the board of the Center, director of training, director of the clinic, director of the postgraduate program, and clinical supervisor of trainees. He has written numerous articles and book chapters on various aspects of family systems theory and family psychotherapy. In 1990, he published a basic introduction to family systems, Bowen Family Systems Theory. He serves on the editorial board of Family Systems and of the Family Business Client. He has served with Robert J. Noone as co-editor of the book, Family Emotional Process: An Integrative Concept for Theory, Science, and Practice (2015). Dr. Papero maintains an active teaching, consulting and lecturing schedule across North America and internationally.

In this lecture Dr. Daniel Papero details the fundamentals of the concept of Bowen Family Systems Thinking in dealing with anxious reactions and explains how one can stay on-course in the midst of difficult challenges especially in the workplace.
