Emotional Programming and Applying Bowen Theory to Treat Emotional Problems 0/5
Bowen Family Systems Theory: Self, Family and Relationships - April 24, 2010
These videos cover the 1st day of a 2-Day workshop by Dr. Michael Kerr on how differentiation of self develops in a person and how an adult can improve his level of differentiation. They address the essence of differentiation - the balancing of individual's interests with the group's interests. Differentiation is never a 'selfish' act, or acting 'selfless' for the sake of harmony. It reflects being as invested in other's welfare as much as in one's own welfare. Understanding differentiation and the family as an emotionally interdependent unit is the basis of this unique approach which addresses a wide range of human problems.
